Must the Original Item Be Returned Before a Replacement Is Sent?

SEWARD does not state one universal sequence; the return requirement and replacement timing depend on the instructions issued for the individual case.

There is no single promised sequence

SEWARD’s current Refunds & Returns policy does not promise either a universal return-first process or an advance replacement service. It instructs customers to contact support before sending an item back. The team reviews the reported problem and then discusses a replacement or refund according to the circumstances and availability.

Consequently, confirmation that support has received or accepted a report should not be treated as proof that a replacement has already been dispatched. Likewise, a customer should not send the original item away merely because a replacement was requested. The sequence must come from the instructions for that order.

A return may or may not be required

For a defective or incorrectly shipped item attributable to SEWARD, the policy says SEWARD may cover reasonable return or reshipment costs or provide a resolution that does not require a return. This means a no-return resolution is possible, but it is not automatic. The policy does not establish that a replacement will always be sent before the original item is returned.

Until support gives case-specific directions, keep the product, accessories, and packaging available for review. Prepare the order number, delivery date, a description of what happened, and clear photographs of the item, issue, and packaging.

What the confirmation should say

Before arranging a shipment, obtain clear instructions stating whether the original item must be returned, where it must go, and which reasonable costs SEWARD will cover when the issue is its error. If a replacement is approved, also confirm that the same item is available and ask what event will trigger dispatch.

The relevant evidence is the written resolution for the order, followed by any return or replacement shipment record. An initial acknowledgment, case review, or discussion of possible options is not the same as a completed replacement arrangement. Mandatory consumer rights may apply separately and are not limited by this commercial process.
