How to Identify the Exact SKU on a Multi-Option Product Page

A practical method for keeping the selected option, product code, images, and specifications tied to the same SKU.

Treat the selection as a complete identity

When one product page contains several options, the highlighted option alone may not establish which SKU every detail describes. Confirm the selection, displayed product code, price, availability, images, and specification block after choosing an option. These elements should identify one consistent version. If one element does not update, do not combine it automatically with the others.

Record the exact option wording and any SKU, model, or item code shown. A code is usually a stronger comparison key than a shortened name, color label, or shared page title. If no unique code appears, preserve the product link and the complete selected-option text so the version can be identified precisely.

Separate variant-specific facts from shared copy

Read each field according to its scope. A specification displayed only after selecting an option may describe that variant, while introductory copy may cover the product family. Images can help distinguish versions, but they are not substitutes for written specifications. The SEWARD Terms of Service likewise advises checking dimensions, materials, function, compatibility, and selected options on the individual product page, while noting that photographs are aids to comparison.

Build a short record with four linked entries: selected option, exact code, matching image, and confirmed specifications. Mark any field that remains generic as not verified for the selected SKU. This prevents a dimension from one version, a photograph from another, and a price from a third from becoming an accidental composite.

Resolve inconsistencies before ordering

Review the final cart or checkout line item to see whether its option and code match your record. If the page, cart, and specifications disagree, retain the specific product link and ask for clarification before purchasing. Do not infer a missing dimension, mechanism, accessory, or intended use from a neighboring option. The correct conclusion is that the field remains unconfirmed for that SKU.
