What Information May Remain After Checking an Order on a Shared Computer?

Practical steps for limiting account, browser, download, and order-information exposure after using a shared computer.

End access to the account and browser session

After checking an order on a shared computer, sign out of the store and any email or payment account opened during the session. Close all relevant tabs and browser windows. If the browser offered to save a password, address, or payment method, check whether it was accepted and remove the saved entry when you have permission to do so. Do not leave the account signed in for the next user.

SEWARD’s Privacy Policy says store cookies and similar storage may support sessions, baskets, and preferences. This means closing a visible order page should not be treated as proof that every local trace has disappeared. Use a private browsing window at the outset when available, but do not assume that private mode prevents every device, network, or service record.

Check files and visible order details

Look for order confirmations, invoices, screenshots, labels, or product photos that you downloaded or created. Remove your copies from the computer and, where appropriate and permitted, its recycle bin or trash. Check print queues and collect any printed pages. Order materials can contain names, contact details, billing or delivery addresses, selected products, and order identifiers, so avoid leaving them on the desktop, in a downloads folder, or in a shared cloud-synchronization folder.

Protect secrets and respond to suspected exposure

Do not enter or transmit full payment-card information on a public computer unless it is unavoidable and the environment is trusted. Never send passwords, full card numbers, or security codes in a support message. If you believe credentials were saved or observed, change the affected password from a trusted device and review the relevant account directly. Clearing browser history may reduce obvious local traces, but it does not guarantee complete deletion from the device or other systems. For a SEWARD privacy question, the Privacy Policy directs customers to the official contact page and asks them to identify the message as a privacy request.
