What Transaction Details Should You Ask Customer Service to Confirm in Writing Before Buying?

Before placing an order, obtain a written record of the seller, product, total price, delivery eligibility, and policies that apply to your proposed transaction.

Identify the transaction precisely

Ask customer service to confirm who will sell the item and which exact product page applies. Include the product name or page link, your destination country or region, and any relevant address type. This prevents an answer about another item, market, or seller from being mistaken for a term of your transaction. SEWARD’s Contact Us page specifically invites customers to provide a product name or page link and the detail they want clarified.

Confirm price and delivery conditions

Request confirmation of the item price, currency code, discounts or gifts, payment method, delivery charge, dispatch origin, destination eligibility, and any known checkout conditions. SEWARD’s current standard arrangement states that eligible orders use free standard postal delivery with no minimum order value, but the exact item, address, currency, and checkout total should still be checked before payment. A dollar sign alone does not identify whether the currency is USD, CAD, or AUD.

Delivery estimates should be recorded as estimates rather than guaranteed dates. Under the current standard arrangement, preparation and transit are separate stages, and destination or item restrictions may affect availability. Ask for written clarification if checkout conflicts with the published delivery information.

Record the applicable policy version

Ask which published policies govern payment, delivery, changes, returns, and after-sales support, and save the page links or dated copies you reviewed. Keep the customer-service response with the cart or order summary. A written record makes later comparison easier, but it does not replace the final order terms, checkout details, or advice from a qualified local professional where local law is involved. Third-party sellers may use different terms, so their arrangements should be confirmed directly with the actual seller. Never send full card details, passwords, or one-time security codes through email, chat, or a contact form.
