Can a SEWARD Refund Go to a Different Account?

SEWARD’s standard policy sends approved refunds to the original payment method and does not promise redirection to another account.

The standard destination is the original payment method

Under SEWARD’s current Refunds & Returns policy, an approved refund is processed to the original payment method. The policy does not state that a customer may replace that destination with another card, bank account, digital wallet, or third-party account. You should therefore expect the refund to follow the original transaction path unless SEWARD and the relevant payment provider expressly confirm a different handling method for the particular case.

Do not substitute account details informally

A request to redirect money should not be treated as an ordinary change of contact information. Sending new bank details does not establish that SEWARD can or will use them, and the published policy does not promise transfers to an arbitrary account. Do not ask another person to receive the refund, attempt to bypass the original transaction, or send sensitive banking credentials through a support message.

If the original account or payment instrument has changed, first ask SEWARD whether the refund has already been approved or processed and request the available transaction details. Then contact the provider responsible for the original payment method to ask how it handles a refund in your specific account situation. The provider’s answer, together with SEWARD’s processing record, determines the practical next step.

How to raise the question safely

Use SEWARD’s official customer-service channel and include the order number and the email address used at checkout. Explain why the original payment method may no longer be usable, but do not send passwords, full card numbers, bank-login information, or other unnecessary credentials. If an alternative route is proposed, obtain clear confirmation of who authorized it, the destination, the amount, and its connection to the original order before relying on it. The published standard remains a refund to the original payment method; any exception requires case-specific confirmation rather than assumption.

Can I nominate a friend’s account for my refund?

SEWARD’s published policy does not offer that option. It states that approved refunds go to the original payment method.
