How to Request a Copy of a Lost Proof of Purchase

Practical steps for finding purchase records and asking the original seller or SEWARD Customer Service whether a replacement receipt or invoice is available.

Start with the original purchase account

Sign in to the account used for the purchase and review its order history, billing area, and downloadable documents. Search the checkout email address for the seller’s name, an order confirmation, payment confirmation, shipment notice, or delivery message. Also check archived messages and spam folders. These records may reveal the order number, purchase date, item, amount, and seller responsible for issuing the original document.

A bank or card entry can help narrow the date and merchant, but it may not contain enough detail to serve as an invoice or itemized receipt. Keep it as a supporting clue rather than assuming it is an equivalent replacement.

Ask the seller that processed the transaction

Contact the original seller or marketplace because its records and procedures determine whether a receipt, invoice, or other purchase document can be reissued. Provide the order number if available, the email used at checkout, the purchaser’s name, the approximate purchase date, and a clear description of the document requested. If no order number remains, share the non-sensitive clues you still have and ask what verification the seller accepts.

Do not send passwords or full payment-card details. A redacted screenshot showing the merchant, date, and amount may be useful if the seller requests supporting information, but follow that seller’s instructions before sending it.

Contacting SEWARD about a direct order

For a purchase believed to have been made directly through SEWARD, use the Orders and delivery option on the SEWARD Contact Us page. The page instructs customers with order inquiries to include the order number and the email used at checkout. Customer Service is available through email, WhatsApp, or the inquiry form; the listed email is info@seward-knives.com.

Requesting a copy does not guarantee that a particular document can be reconstructed. Availability, document type, identity checks, and regional requirements depend on the seller’s records and applicable process. If the purchase came from a third-party retailer or marketplace, contact that seller first rather than assuming SEWARD holds its transaction record.

What if I cannot find the order number?

Provide the checkout email, purchaser name, approximate date, item description, seller name, and any non-sensitive payment reference you still have. Ask the original seller which details it requires to locate and verify the transaction.
