Can You Request a Correction to Personal Contact Information on an Order?

How to request correction of order contact details while distinguishing a privacy-record correction from a time-sensitive delivery change.

Yes, you may request a correction

SEWARD’s Privacy Policy states that, depending on the applicable law, a person may request correction of personal information. Use the official SEWARD Contact Us page, explain which contact detail is inaccurate, provide the email address associated with the interaction, and label the message “Privacy request.” SEWARD may require proportionate verification before changing a record, so a request is not the same as confirmation that the correction has been completed.

Distinguish record correction from order fulfillment

Be explicit about the result you need. Correcting personal information in SEWARD’s records is a privacy request. Changing the name, telephone number, email address, or delivery address used for an active shipment is also an operational order request and may be time-sensitive. State whether the order is pending, already dispatched, or completed if you know, and include the order number and email used at checkout as requested on the Contact Us page.

Ask support to confirm separately whether the correction will affect the active order, the customer or support record, future communications, and any delivery instructions. Do not assume that one change automatically updates every system. Independently operated payment services and linked websites have their own privacy notices, and records already held by a carrier or payment provider may require separate handling.

Understand the possible limits

A corrected current record does not necessarily rewrite historical invoices, accounting records, fraud-prevention records, or information already transmitted for fulfillment. SEWARD’s Privacy Policy says some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or protection against fraud. Ask for written confirmation of what was changed, what could not be changed, and whether any other recipient must be contacted. Never send passwords, full card numbers or security codes in a support message. Provide identity documents or other sensitive verification records only if a verified support process specifically asks for the necessary information through an approved channel.
