How to Identify One Item in a Multi-Item Order for After-Sales Support

A practical way to mark the affected line item without altering the original transaction record or exposing unnecessary personal information.

Identify the affected line precisely

When one order contains several products, send a copy of the order record and clearly mark the line corresponding to the item that needs support. Circle, highlight, or annotate the relevant line on a duplicate rather than editing the original record. State the product name, the quantity affected, and any listing link or other identifier visible in the order. If several identical units were purchased, explain which unit has the issue and how it can be distinguished, if possible.

Add the order number and the email address used at checkout. SEWARD’s Contact Us page requests those details for order inquiries and allows customers to provide a product name or page link, a written message, and an optional photo. A short statement such as “Line 3, quantity 1 of 2, arrived damaged” helps connect the issue to the correct part of the transaction.

Preserve the record and relevant evidence

Keep the complete, unmodified order confirmation, invoice, or receipt. An annotation should function only as a pointer; it should not replace product descriptions, quantities, prices, dates, or other original transaction data. Where useful, attach separate photos of the affected item and refer to them by simple labels such as “Item A” or “Line 3.”

Share only information needed to locate the order and understand the problem. Remove unrelated payment details and information belonging to another purchaser, recipient, or order. SEWARD’s contact form warns customers not to include passwords or full payment-card details. The final assessment still depends on the actual order and supporting records, and arrangements involving a third-party seller may require confirmation from that seller. Contact support before returning an item.
