How to Provide Parcel Weight Data for a Missing-Item Review

A careful way to record parcel weight when customer service requests it as supporting evidence for a possible missing item.

Clarify exactly what must be weighed

Before weighing anything, ask customer service to confirm the object and unit required. For example, the requested weight could refer to the complete parcel as received, the remaining packaging plus all received contents, or one individual item. These measurements are not interchangeable. If the original parcel is no longer intact, say so instead of presenting a reconstructed package as unchanged.

SEWARD’s Shipping and Delivery page tells customers to compare a parcel with its shipment details and keep the packaging when something needs checking. Retain the outer packaging, inner packing materials, received products and labels until the review is complete.

Record a reproducible measurement

Place the requested object fully on the scale and record the displayed unit, such as grams or ounces. Take one photo showing the complete weighing setup and another close enough to read the display. In your message, list what was included and excluded, whether the packaging had already been opened, the type of scale used, and any limitation such as a display that rounds to whole units. If customer service requests another configuration, label each result separately rather than replacing the earlier measurement without explanation.

Submit weight as supporting evidence

Send the measurement with your order number, checkout email, photographs of the parcel label and packaging, a list of the items received, and a clear statement of what appears to be missing. The SEWARD Contact Us page accepts order and after-sales inquiries and allows an optional JPG or PNG photo of up to 5 MB.

Weight can help compare accounts of what was packed and received, but a single reading does not by itself prove which item was omitted. Do not invent greater precision than the scale provides. Customer service still needs to review the order, shipment and other available records before determining the outcome.
