Notify the verified seller with the minimum information needed while keeping another customer’s personal details private.
Keep the documents private
If a parcel contains another customer’s invoice, packing slip, address label, or order record, do not post it publicly or forward it through social media. Avoid copying the person’s name, address, telephone number, email address, order contents, or payment-related information into an ordinary message unless the verified seller specifically needs a limited detail through a secure route. Do not contact the named customer yourself.
Report only what is necessary
Tell the seller that another customer’s document was enclosed and identify your own order using your order number and the email used at checkout. Add the delivery date and your parcel’s tracking number if available. To help locate the packing error, you can describe the misplaced record by document type and provide only a masked reference, such as the final few characters of an order number. Usually, the full contents do not need to be transcribed.
If an image is requested, cover unrelated personal fields before sending it unless the seller provides a secure method and explains why an unredacted image is necessary. The SEWARD Contact Us page allows optional photo attachments, warns customers not to include passwords or full payment-card details, and asks for the order number and checkout email in order inquiries.
Ask how the record should be handled
Keep the document and original packaging in a secure place while awaiting instructions. Ask whether the seller wants the record destroyed, returned, or handled another way; do not choose a return address independently. SEWARD tells customers to contact the company before returning any item, while its Shipping and Delivery page advises retaining packaging when a parcel needs checking.
These steps reduce unnecessary disclosure, but they do not establish how a particular incident occurred or what remedy applies. The actual seller must review the order, parcel, and packing records before confirming the appropriate response.
